Review: Trust Fund Beauty Lipgasm Liquid Lipstick

Image
I got this liquid lipstick in an Ipsy beauty subscription bag.  For more info, head over to  Ipsy's website Trust Fund Beauty products are vegan, cruelty - free and paraben - free. You can check out their website  here The scent is very light and the name of this shade is K bye.  I am thinking it is a dupe for a Kylie lip product but I could be wrong. Take a look at my  YouTube video of Kylie lip kit dupes You can apply one coat and get an opaque layer of liquid lipstick.   It does not dry completely, it sort of stays moist and creamy. I took the photo below about 5 minutes after application and smudged the lower area. I like how it stays moist because it would be easier to blend with other creamy lip products and a lip liner. It lasts about two hours on my lips so this product needs to be reapplied often. This is a good buy if you don't mind reapplying often.

Review: Cher Mere iNatural Curling Butter

Image
I bought this when I attended   CherMere's Curls for a Cause Natural Hair Event  .  This product contains shea butter, moringa and rosemary leaf oil as well as many other natural ingredients. Shea butter helps to heal certain scalp conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, while moringa is a good source of nutrients. The scent is sweet but not too subtle.  When I used this, it left my hair moist enough so I did not have to use daily. I also bought and used  CherMere iNatural Leave In Conditioning Creme This curling butter is perfect for TWA's as it defines one's curls. I have 4c hair and it worked well for me.

Review: Aphogee Curlific Texture Treatment

Image
This photo is not mine. This product is to be used after shampooing, as a conditioner.  It claims to add elasticity and helps eliminate split ends. This Aphogee treatment comes in a 8 fl oz container, I bought this in a NY beauty supply store. I realised from my first try, the treatment defined the natural kinks in my hair. After a few uses, my hair was less brittle. Although this product added strength to my hair, it was not as moisturising as some of the other treatments that I used in the past. I also saw single strand knots, something that I never had a problem with before using this product.  You can find out more about this problem and some possible solutions  here . I would not recommend this product for naturalistas who have problem retaining hair moisture.  However, it would be of help for those with brittle strands.

Kim Kardashian launches contour sticks to mixed reviews.

Image
This photo is not mine So Kim K launched her contour sticks and of course, a slew of top beauty influencers were invited to try out her new products. Since I am obviously not a beauty influencer and I really don't rush out to buy contour products, I viewed some videos and blogs to find out people's opinions. This photo is not mine Jackie Aina, a top beauty YouTuber gave her honest review in her  video .  She discussed the price ($US48) being too high for the amount of product being offered. I almost died when she seemed surprised because there was actually a dark contour shade included.  But why be shocked?  I could just picture Kanye interrupting many product development sessions with 'Imma let you finish'. This photo is not mine This photo is not mine Bustle.com published a story highlighting the shades which seem to include a wide range of skin tones.  This can be viewed  here . This product seems to have been sold out in minut

Prom Dress from Hell

Image
This photo is not mine  US student Malexa Maeweather was stunned when she received this dress the night before Prom. She paid the designer  a US$100 deposit for a custom made look.  This is what she got. This photo is not mine This photo is not mine This photo is not mine    This is quite a look. The designer Kia Wagner stated that the photos didn't do the dress justice. Wagner added that she asked her client numerous times if this was the look she was going for and her client had always agreed.

Review: Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Slick Slip Anti - Shrinkage Leave in Conditioner

Image
This photo is not mine I received a sample of this product when I attended the Conversations with Nelly B event  a while ago.  The leave in conditioner that I was using finally finished so I decided to try this. It was not as moisturising as I had hoped however, I discovered its anti - shrinkage properties a few days after wash day.  I put my hair in one and I was astonished at how easily this was done. I would recommend to those who may have shrinkage issues.  I have more problems with keeping my hair moisturised so I would prefer a leave in that helps me more in that field.
