Staff luncheon (poem by Danielle Layne)

                                              

                                                  Staff luncheon was upon us

                                                 'Twas time for food and cheer

                                                  Simply an opportunity

                                                 To gather every year

After all the formal niceties

Of speeches and some victuals

The staff was sated and prepared

For bits of games and giggles

Pin the carrot on the snowman game

 When all the games were finished

They cleaned as best they could

And each wiped at a sweaty brow

As teachers often would

 

 

The staff luncheon was over

Meeting was not in vain

Bid each other Merry Christmas

Until they meet again
