Halloween-themed muffins!

Since Halloween is right around the corner, I decided to try some spooky muffin treats.  I used some of the items pictured below: Mix cake batter Pour into muffin tin Bake according to directions on cake mix box You can make an icing bag by cutting a small hole in the corner of a Ziploc bag.  Insert icing piper edge into hole. Mix food coloring with white frosting to get colored frosting Place frosting in bag Put frosting on muffins, add optional decorations

Mushroom fish recipe

Image
This is a quick meal that can be ready in as little as 20 minutes! Ingredients: Mushrooms Fish Frozen vegetables Cooking oil Salt Seasoning 1.  I like to add seasonings to my mushrooms.  E.g. you can add paprika, chadon beni, all purpose seasoning, ginger. 2. Marinate and season fish up to an hour before cooking. 3. Heat oil in pot, when hot add mushrooms. 4.  Add fish after five minutes. 5.  Cook for ten minutes, or until fish turns opaque. Serve hot and enjoy!

DIY Witch Hat using bristol board

Image
I made a simple witch's hat using only a few items: 2 sheets Black Bristol board Scissors Masking tape Paper glue Measure the circumference of your head. Cut a donut shape using one sheet of Bristol board. The inner circumference of the 'donut' should loosely match your head measurement. Make a cone shape with the second sheet of Bristol board.  The open end of the cone should also match your head measurement. Fit the open end of the cone into the 'donut'.  Make 1 inch cuts in the open end of the cone. Bend cuts outward stick with glue to the underside of the 'donut'. Happy witching!

Makeup haul: September

Image
I put myself on a makeup purchasing pause so there are thankfully fewer products in my September haul. I heard some family members speak of the Jordana fabubrow pencils and decided to give them a try.  Bought my usual Elf products, I normally get them in Excellent Stores and Starlite Pharmacy in Maraval.  NYX is one of my favorite makeup brands - their eye shadows are pigmented but not too bright on my dark skin. I also heard about good things about Milani lipsticks and purchased a nude-ish color.  Seems as if I am a bronzer hoarder, got an Elf and of course I can't wait to try it. Pop beauty cosmetics are also usually found in Starlite Pharmacy, Maraval.  I am very proud of myself because I purchased a small quantity of items - yayy me! stay tuned for reviews.

Wet & Wild Mega Glo Illuminating powder review.

Image
I bought & decided to try this illuminating powder product.  The name had me thinking:  Is it a highlighter?  A bronzer?  What is it? So I applied the second pigment in a quick sweep all over the high contours of my face.  Then I used the  third pigment under cheekbones. Looked in the mirror. And looked. I didn't know what I was looking for.  Maybe the product isn't pigmented enough. Anyway, I wore this product in the following video.  Take a peek, does my face look 'illuminated'? I might end up using this Wet and Wild product as eye shadow pigments because this illuminating? Umm, I don't know. Anyone ever tried this product?  Let me know your experience if you did. Until next time.
