The Eastern Market - 1st anniversary edition

It was my first time attending The Eastern Market, which was held at the YWCA in St Augustine (fyi foreign readers - in Trinidad and Tobago).

There was a variety of handmade items on sale - from accessories to food and screen  printed T-shirts.  I always try to buy local items when I get the chance, so I was pleased when the opportunity presented itself.

I bought a bar of handmade soap from Eco - Truffles.  This company sells an array of personal care items.  These include body butters, hair  oils and body scrubs.

I also bought a pair of burgundy earrings from Oog's Nest. They create handmade accessories such as bracelets and earrings.

My last purchase was a pair of calabash earrings from J's Original Design.  I couldn't resist the bright colours:

I ordered lunch from Pink Chef:  curried crab and dumplings.  Very enjoyable.

Waiting patiently for the next Eastern Market - and more curried crab? :)
